David A Procter & Associates have a contents insurance arrangement with Security Industries Specialist Services Ltd of Okehampton (the original insurance brokers of Brentford Dock). The Scheme is called Secure Plan. Depending on no-claim bonuses, a one bedroom flat could get £40,000 basic contents cover (£200 freezer contents cover) for £63.51 p.a. including tax.

Stafford Knight of Romford, Essex, 01708 777710, used to offer Dock Guard to insure the contents of houses, flats and maisonettes in Brentford Dock on a flat-rate per-bedroom basis, for example:

BDL insures our buildings including the Marina Club and Marina Water with them. They considered postcodes to six characters, e.g., TW8 8QE, not just TW8. Our patrolling security team with out-of-hours management back-up, ensures that, in most incidents, the amount of damage to contents is limited by prompt action. |
Towergate Strovers Ltd say they no longer offer a flat-rate per-bedroom basis. You have to tell them how much cover you want. Existing policies seem to be continuing. It may be worth new insurers asking them for a competitive quote.
